Royal Lytham & St Annes is another master piece links course in the North West of England. This is regarded as the second toughest Open course after Carnoustie. The Open has been played here on 10 occasions. Ernie Els is the most recent winner after Adam Scott collapsing over the finishing 4 holes.
It is renowned as a course on which it is hard to scramble a good score, after all, there are 206 bunkers peppering the fairways and surrounding the greens.
