This Open Qualifying course, one mile from Carnoustie, lies inland from the coast, but Panmure Golf Course has all the characteristics of a great championship links. Ben Hogan spent two weeks on this links prior to his only Open Championship outing at Carnoustie in 1953. No.6 at Panmure is believed to be Hogan’s favourite hole in golf. Definitely one of Scotland’s hidden gems.
